I set up an account and had a question. I called customer support and while I had them on the phone I asked if the account was ok to use, the answer was yes. Then I had a payment come in a day or two later, and square said there was a problem with my account and I had to upload a bunch of verifying docs for their reveiw. The next day they deactivated my account and I cannot receive my money for 90 days. Who knows if they will really release it?In sum... They tell me the account is fine, I get a payment, then the account isn't fine, I'm deactivated and they have the money, and won't release it. That is a bunch of crap. What an lying low life cheatin scum bag way to treat people and do business. I can't say enough bad about them.My advice is to complain to the gov office that has jurisdiction over them. In the insurance world, if you have an insurance claim problem you cannot resolve with your carrier, you can complain to the state board of insurance, and if you have a legit point, they will contact the carrier and try to help get it resolved. Something similar is needed for square. I've read that my situation is not unique, it's actually common. We need to complain to the governing body. I'm trying to find out who that is.Rant over. thx.
