Do I like it? YES. Would I recommend it? DEPENDS

The register and related services are great, and the general 'concept' of having all of the services - register, online store, inventory, reporting, etc - all under one system is great. But the failure of the product is with customer and product support, and product development.Local and online store sync is great on paper, however once you get into it, this feature has a significant bunch of 'smoke and mirrors', as several crucial things do not actually sync between the backend Square - Weebly platforms. There are duplicate/repeated settings that the user needs to manually keep in sync between the 'store' and 'online' platforms otherwise what you think you have configured, actually is not what happens. This is not explained anywhere and Support is reluctant to explain this. Work is needed here.As for support, this is nothing short of a nightmare. Rather than actually reading, understanding and responding, the support team does nothing but fire back patronizing "I hope you are having an incredible day" tag lines and cut & paste how-to articles which are almost always completely unrelated to the issue. Support emails come from a different person for each response and with no conversation history in the emails, meaning that not one single person follows a single issue, and each time you must start from scratch to re-explain the problem, what has been done to this point, and correct their misguided suggestions. Responses are also slow which leads to an exceedingly frustrating experience.Many of the "how to" support pages appear to be incorrect, with options, screens and steps that do not actually exist.The community forums are difficult to navigate, and while community members are helpful, if you are unlucky enough to not get a response, or even worse, get a community moderator who appears to simply be a Square support employee in disguise, you are back into the very slow, non-responsive and non-personal support system.There are also clearly platform shortfalls and outright faults. These faults get lost in the pointless support process so one is left having to find workarounds rather than fix the underlying issues. There is a suggestion/product enhancement platform, however there are no formal responses to posts made there and based on the general support provided, I don't get the feeling that Square particularly takes much interest in customer opinion or feedback anyhow.Summary:Would I suggest the product --- Yes. It does the job and, overlooking obvious issues and the terrible customer service, it has many functions and features that make business easier.CONS:- Terrible (horrendous, deplorable) customer service- Support pages are not always correct, sometimes links do not work.- Add-ons are relatively expensive and/or add up unexpectedly. Square tries to take a cut of everything (gift card purchases, custom web-hosting, etc).- Credit card processing is expensive compared to other options.
