It looks legit, especially if you have never applied for a passport before, and the dot org domain helps its perceived credibility. Basically, the website asked for all the information, INCLUDING SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER, requested on the free State Department passport application and then emails you the completed application afterwards. For this, they charge $90.33. They do have a disclaimer in the fine print that they are not a government organization, but this doesn’t mean anything to someone new to this process. My young daughter (college student) needed to renew her passport and fell for this scam. We realized she had been scammed because she was asked to pay another $130 to the State Department for the passport fee upon mailing in the application. There is no way to contact this website by phone or mail; they just have a contact us form. It's not clear where this company is located or who the owner is. The actual government site to renew a passport is the State Department website ending in dot gov
