I have a chronic migraine condition and am very photosensitive. I spent a long time trying different types of glasses, including specialist migraine glasses, none were any good. Then I got a pair of Heron Mountain glasses. They are brilliant. The leather side panels and nose piece block the light coming in around the sides of the lenses, which is really useful, and because they are leather they are soft and don't dig in or push on your face. The arms are malleable, so you can bend them round your ears and make them comfortable. Again important for me as arms that go straight back or curve round your head put pressure on my occipital nerves and trigger migraines. So I can wear these comfortably and they don't trigger pain. The lenses themselves, whilst they look very dark from the outside, filter the light in such a way that from the other side it just looks like a moderately overcast day. I can still see clearly but don't get stabbed in the eyeballs by light bouncing off glass or water every time I go outside! They also filter the horrible overhead lighting in shops very well, and the headlights/sidelights on cars. I wear these glasses every time I leave the house. They are an absolute life saver. Whilst Vallon are really aiming at the outdoor/active lifestyle kind of person, I would recommend these glasses to anyone with any kind of light sensitivity.
