Very Disappointing Experience – Poor Advice and Lack of Due DiligenceWe are a medium-sized Amazon business operating across multiple EU markets. After previously dealing with VAT issues caused by another provider’s negligence, we specifically looked for a smaller firm that would offer better communication and more personalized service instead of robotic responses.We chose Lovat after being assured that there would be no issues transferring all seven of our VAT numbers to them. Based on that confidence, we terminated our relationship with our previous provider.Unfortunately, 3–4 months later, we were informed that Lovat was not actually able to represent us for two of the VAT numbers. As a result, we had to return to our previous provider to handle those registrations. This should have been identified upfront before we made the switch. It felt like they agreed to everything initially without doing proper research or due diligence.The second major issue was their recommendation to open a UK company to expedite obtaining new VAT numbers. We followed their advice, only to find out five months later that we cannot properly use those VAT numbers because the new company name creates a mismatch with our existing setup. This was extremely frustrating and costly.Overall, the experience felt unprofessional, with poor planning and advice that created more complications rather than solving them.
