I applied for 2 evisa on 10/10/24 . I was granted but not my wife, the reason being that their immigration department thought she had not left Vietnam since our last visit in 2019. I supplied the necessary passport evidence with the exit stamp to the agent but was told that I need to "upgrade the service" which involve paying another USD110 on top of the $73 already paid. Since I have plenty of time , my arrival was 12/11/24 I don't see the need to make an "emergency" application. However, in spite of repeated attempts, this agent would not supply the information , saying all she could do was "amend" and wait 3 days. She never did explain what she meant by "amend" or "edit" . In the end , I ran out of time . Fortunately, the ship was able to get an immediate evisa for my wife , at the cost of $76 with 1 day's notice. One wonders if there is a scam to squeeze more tourist dollars!
