I've been playing this game for 15+ years, with an 8-year break. The concept is excellent! It's a very detailed business simulator. It's great for sharpening your mind.However, after the introduction of paid features, the scope of activity has significantly narrowed. If you want to start now, you will inevitably face the fact that most of the profitable niches are already taken. So, get ready for Pay2Play.Also, get ready for constant user interface bugs. This is true even for the PAID features. E.g. a funny one: you open an laundry/fitness/some other services facility and UI tells you that you have best of the best restaurant. So, get ready to pay for proud name of Virtonomics perpetual Beta tester. It's true for all time long I've been in the game. As for the tech support, they will reply something like "you are using our fascinating UI in a bad way". This treatment gets me crazy sometimes: support will just ignore obvious bugs and close tickets without response. Awful!Many answers to questions that arise during the game cannot be found or calculated beforehand anywhere. For example, you cannot pre-calculate the cost of resource extraction, production, electricity, and so on, BEFORE you've built the corresponding facilities. Many issues are not described neither in Wikinomics nor in UI. This is true even for features you pay. Why? "Because we don't care, just pay and keep your mouth shut".There are some old calculators for Virtonomics on GitHub where you can calculate some products, but they are outdated and don't cover a wide range of products.You end up having to do everything via tries and losses, which absolutely ruins the gaming experience, especially for beginners. In summary, if you are ready to suffer — I recommend it, it’s worth the pain. :)))If not—don't even bother with this business sim.After 15+ years in the game, I'm giving it one star, because I'm a bit tired of the permanent suffering! :)PS. If you read 5 stars review somewhere, please, keep in mind, that Virtonomics pays authors a bit Game Points for each.
