I agree there is probably a technical issue. The only detail I can add to help you with your investigation is that I was connecting from Europe (hence the price is in EUR) and I was using a British payment card (hence the charge in GBP). However, this does not justify the behaviour of the site at all. If you are unsure of the price and currency you are applying, at least let your payment service provider (probably Stripe) show it on the screen.
