Lost my £1000 deposit after they failed to provide estimated completion date or contract within 1 month of deposit as was told would happen. When covid struck they stopped building and could not be contacted. When I paid deposit I was told work was ahead of schedule and completion would be end Sept before Covid. I wouldn't risk a deposit with them as they don't want to take any blame when things go wrong, and they ignore your emails when it suits them.
