Yet another scam! these people send random phishing emails. They do not work with the agency they purport to represent - today they tried to scam me for my own photo. Do not pay them! contact the agency you purchased the image from and let them deal with these scam artists!!

beware of these criminals, I had dealings in May 2024 with another company called Copyright Agent over an image on my website which I straight away removed. I did suspect the company were a scam at the time but decided that ok I had used the image so bang to rights and I paid the £550.00 demand. Now 6 months later I have another demand from visual rights group over the exact same image which to my knowledge was deleted 6 months ago. I completely stripped my web site and replaced all images with my own production. Visual rights tell me I am Currently displaying the image so I reply and say no it was deleted 6 months ago, they say no it's live and here is a link to prove it. So I use the link which takes me to a false home page which had been constructed by a hacker. I could see this straight away as amendments I had made to my home page on the Navigation menu 3 weeks previously were there but the page content had been cloned from an old page, also I had slightly changed my business name but the old name was showing still. I then clicked on the HOME button on the navigation menu, this should usually have no affect as I am on the home page already, but low and behold I am directed to my current genuine home page. I straight away reported this to the police and action fraud as every one should do because if enough people report this then the police must surely take action
Please be aware for this organisation. They focus on individuals or small organisations that have no means to defend themselves. The only thing they do is scan the internet with a specific software to detect websites using picture they didn’t make themselves. They come directly with a settlement proposal and threaten you that if you don’t pay it will cost you much more money. There is no way of having a proper discussion with them. A group of ‘so called lawyers’ that couldn’t find a way to do something real with their degree and instead chose to take money from unaware individuals. Don’t go into business with them.
