My wife and myself decided to book up the Viva Blackpool REWIND SHOW on Wed 25th Sept 2024 and we opted for the Pre-set Show Dining (26.95 pp) which promised a memorable dinner and show experience.Unfortunately it was memorable for all the wrong reasons.When we arrived it appeared we were the only ones dining before the show, the vast majority of the table’s roundabout us were empty and they did not start to fill up until the show was just about to start at 19.45 hrs.I would advise anybody going to a show at this venue to do the same, go and have a nice meal somewhere else and then just turn up for the show.After our starters were eventually served we had to wait a long time until the empty plates were collected, there were no Viva staff available.We then had to wait again for our main meal to be served and when it was the puff pastry/chips and peas were lukewarm, once again the Viva staff had disappeared and there was nobody available to speak to about this.Again after waiting and as they were still no Viva staff available, I went to the kitchen area myself and asked if somebody could please collect our plates and serve our desserts as the show was just about to start.So much time had been wasted by the disappearing Viva staff, that we were eating our desserts watching the show.The standard of table service and food at this location is disgraceful and I would not recommend dining at this location (Viva) to anybody.As I stated before...go and have a nice meal somewhere else, which will be better quality / value and then “if you must” just turn up for the show.We were later informed that there was a party of 40 in Viva’s Round room? and they were getting preferential treatment & service, and the diners in the main hall were basically being ignored until the Viva Round room was served first. So much for the Viva promise of... ( a delicious 3 course meal served to your table before the show commences)I did submit a request for a dining refund, but that was like our night out at Viva, and has been totally IGNORED by the Viva management.
