the audition test does not work, even with a great Mic and good noises conditions, it does not validate the audio file (it says the environnement is not good, I'm actually in a completely silent room).
If I ever become a real in demand voiceover actress, it will be first and foremost because of Voices. I have had a basic membership for about a year now, and I recently booked my first job. They have given me chances over the last year to audition, and I always am able to submit everything seamlessly. I can't say enough for them, and I would encourage anyone who wants to break into the voiceover would to sign up with Voices.
Just finished my self imposed obligation of 101 auditions (they say if you do 100, it will be the 101st one that hits) and with all the dangled carrots, shortlists and fraudulent clients, I will just let my subscription end in a few months and chalk this up to lesson learned. In hindsight, it hasn't been a horrible experience, just frustrating. I wasnt looking for a career at this, just fulfill a dream after retirement. It's been an eye-opener for sure.
Voices.com has been an great platform for growing my voice-over career. As a voice actor, I really appreciate the quality opportunities, the ease to submit auditions, and connect with clients who truly value professional work. The interface is user-friendly, the job postings are clear, and the system makes it simple to stay organized and track projects.I appreciate the consistency—new opportunities show up every day, and I’ve been able to work with clients I never would have found on my own. Payments are handled smoothly and securely, and the platform’s communication tools make every project feel professional and straightforward.Voices.com has helped me level up my career, expand my client base, and stay inspired as an artist. I highly recommend it to any voice actor looking for a reliable, supportive, and opportunity-rich platform.
So far I've had a good experience even though I've only been paid for one voice over job but I DID get paid. It was a private invite. I then thought thought to pay Permium to apply to the public ones but my credit card declined three times. Initially I'd frozen my card and had forgotten to unfreeze. I contacted Support and within several days I'd heard back and the conversation was fluid and with less waiting around for responses. They were very good. They unblocked from their side. I tried again. My bank blocked due to this company sending Natwest incorrect information back during the transaction. Basically the bank blocked on suspicion it wasn't trustworthy. So for now I might stick to private jobs I get sent although I would like to apply for more. Unless I can have some security that this company is indeed secure I don't want to upgrade just yet. 🤔😬
This agency does not seem to be serious at all! You NEVER receive any answer from the clients! Even when you are accepted for a job and they send you an email with scripts and instructions, you cannot get any answer (related to constant technical problems with the provided intake forms or studio links). They just seem to sent out mails to various voice talents, without ever caring about them (despite the fact that they explicitely ask to write them in case of issues)! I really wonder if will get paid at all!
