I have used Volta products in the past and have generally had positive experiences, which is why I felt confident ordering several chargers as Christmas gifts this year. I placed my order on Black Friday, and based on the quoted 2–5 day shipping timeline, I had no concerns about them arriving on time. As you can probably infer from the 2 star rating, that did not happen.Over the past six weeks, during which I still have not received my order, though it is now allegedly arriving later this week, I have been in regular contact with Volta’s customer service team trying to get updates. To their credit, the representatives were polite and responsive, though their replies felt very scripted, and I was repeatedly given delivery timelines that were not met.At one point, I was explicitly told my order would ship by the end of the week of December 15th. When that didn’t happen, I began to accept that the chargers would not arrive in time for Christmas. After that, there was no communication from Volta until December 23rd, when I was again “guaranteed” delivery by the end of the week, which again did not occur.Around this time, I received an email apologizing for the delay, followed by a prompt asking whether I would like to add more items to my order. That was particularly frustrating, as I still had not received an order placed nearly a month earlier, and it felt inappropriate to be asked to spend more money under those circumstances.Christmas came and went with no follow-up from the company. I reached out again, frustrated but respectful, asking what could be done to remedy the situation. The order contained gifts for visiting family, and due to the delay I had to make alternative arrangements. Now, when the shipment finally arrives nearly seven weeks after ordering (despite the originally quoted 2–5 day shipping window), I will need to pay additional shipping costs to get the items to their intended recipients.Only after this point was I informed that the order was finally on its way. While I was told, “Your frustration is completely warranted, and you have shown more grace than this situation deserves,” the reality is that nothing tangible has been done to make things right. I have lost time, spent additional money, and endured weeks of uncertainty, and as of writing this review, I still do not have the product I ordered.Volta makes good products, which makes this experience all the more disappointing. Reliable fulfillment and honest communication matter just as much as product quality, and in this case, both fell well short.
