I got a used Volvo that needed a head gasket due to them fusing a coolant hose together, instead of putting fittings in. Stupid, but it saved money in manufacturing. With only 70,000 miles on it, the computer in the transmission went bad. The trans was fine, but the computer was not. After replacing the trans, my power windows started acting up. They worked when they wanted to. What was the problem? The COMPUTER for the power windows!!!!! You don't need a computer for power windows. All you need is a battery, a motor and a switch. It would cost over $1000. for the dealer to fix it. I sold the car, and I will NEVER buy ANY product Volvo makes ever again. They over complicate for no good reason except for greed.
