I purchased a Volvo C40 EV twin 23plate from Hartwell ford with 7000 miles on the clock I purchased this car has it states on Volvo website it does a combined mileage of 550km or 342miles per charge but I have found this car gets no were near that statement by Volvo . A 100% charge only gets 230miles . Which you have to take into consideration the temp outside inside the car your driving etc because everything you turn on eats power so your lucky to get 170 miles on one charge and this is 79kw extended range car. I took it to Sunderland Volvo and met there Tec guy and he tested it confirmed the car is ok ie battery. He said it has a system which works out your range by your driving. Which is possible when u are on the move. But when charging it outside my house it only goes to 230mile on a full charge not 341miles stated by Volvo So they said make complaint to Volvo uk with in 24 hours no joy they said the same excuses I then Contacted the ombudsman she said write letter to Hartwell ford on this matter reject the car ask for a settlement on issue with company they have 8 weeks to reply before they take up the case so you lose more money . This has been a total eye opener for me has I phone another Volvo dealer and there service guy told me in his own words in real world this car only does 230miles per charge. So be very careful buying this motor .1, It does not have a combined mileage of 341miles per charge 2 ,Sunderland Volvo very poor at been honesty to customers like me . 1 out of 103,Volvo is not to be trusted with any of there figures for Ev range on my C40
