I signed up for VSP Individual Vision assuming it worked like most insurance — something I could cancel if needed. I used one routine eye exam early in the year, and when I tried to cancel months later, I was told I’m locked into a full 12-month contract with no option to cancel.No pro-rated refund. No flexibility. Just a flat "No" from customer service.This was never made clear upfront. I never would have signed up had I known I’d be required to pay for a full year even if my situation changed — especially after using a single benefit. It feels like a predatory business model, not a customer-first vision plan.VSP — if you’re reading this: I’m asking you to review my account, acknowledge how misleading this feels, and allow a way for people to cancel in good faith.
