Volkswagen UK’s Customer Service Is a DisgraceVolkswagen has long been synonymous with efficiency and quality, but my experience with their customer service has shattered that illusion. Instead of providing genuine support, VW UK seems more interested in hiding behind bureaucracy and marketing ploys while making it as difficult as possible for customers to access essential information.I contacted them to verify my vehicle’s service history and DSG maintenance, only to be met with evasive responses and unnecessary hurdles. Despite owning my car since November 2024, I was told I am not listed as the registered keeper in their system—forcing me to chase up my V5 document just to access what should be readily available information. If VW actually cared about their customers, they would make it easier, not harder, to confirm service history and technical details. The reality is that VW’s reputation for precision and customer focus is nothing more than a facade. Their 'support' is unhelpful, and deliberately obstructive and there's no accountability or transparency. If you’re expecting efficient, world-class service, you’ll be sorely disappointed. Volkswagen UK has proven to be nothing but a letdown. Can I be bothered to write to VW Germany? Or the Motoring Ombudsman? That's probably a waste of time, too. I guess it's the era we find ourselves in, which is all about looking good on the outside but having no substance, sincerity, or goodness on the inside.
