Wouldnt have another VW (or VAG) vehicle given after my last few. Ive had VW’s, audis, seats, skodas for years now since passing my test at 17 (36 now) and always loved them until recently.-2019 vw caddy with 22,000 miles on and full service history has given me nothing but headache, stress and an empty wallet since the day I bought it. I replaced a 2005 caddy sdi with 150,000 miles on with this and would have the old one back over the new one anytime. I thought at 14 years old and the high milage it was about time I got a newer model so I didnt have to worry about the reliability, how wrong I was. The van Is now in the garage again and is going the journey as soonas I get it back this time-2018 skoda octavia vrs 4x4 owned from new, serviced by skoda dealer yearly and anything needed was done, car very well looked after, 25,000 miles done in 4 years with dealer history and now needs a full rear diff rebuild, this car has only ever been driven by my partner who either goes to work in it, her parents or drops the daughter at nursery, its never been driven hard and probably never been over 80mph.I have spoken tk 2 indipendant VAG technicians and a head of sales for one of thr biggest car dealer groups in the UK and they all said the same thing, wouldnt have a new vw given, you have to go back about 4 mk’s to get any gecent quality. They still charge ridiculous prices for low spec vehicles.Ford vans and JDM cars from now on, will never buy or own another VAG car or van again.
