Shockingly poor experience with VW today, unable to charge our ID3 as the charging flap is stuck closed. Already had AA out via VW to try and fix it, unable to, so we asked to take it in and have a courtesy car while it's fixed - problem is covered by the VW warranty. Because we happen to already have an appointment booked in for a recall update, we've been told we can't have a courtesy car as the dealership have none available, and VW won't allow a booking for one because we already have an appointment booked in - completely ridiculous policy when our car that's under warranty currently can't be charged. Told to drive the car until we run out of charge then call the AA to take us in, only THEN can we have a courtesy car. Unable to get to work without the car, but it seems that's not their problem until we've actually broken down. VW you need to review your policies, this is ridiculous. You also need to stop blaming your dealerships when the policy is VW policy, not theirs. Take responsibility!
