Recently, I experienced the saddest example of Corporate Customer Service possible at the Walmart in Dawsonville, Ga. What should have been a simple two-minute Cash Refund transaction turned into over an Hour of personal exasperation and frustration. I had paid in Cash for a Tire; the Tire was ordered but never put on my Truck. They weren't even sure it had arrived to be put on. In the meantime, I found a Tire elsewhere and returned for a Cash Refund. The Woman named Lisa working in Automotive who is an absolute Angel, tried her best to get the transaction to go through but couldn't. She had another person, wearing a Coach Badge to try, and he also couldn't get the register to refund my money. Then another Coach and another Coach, until finally the Head Coach of Customer Service, Humira Isra showed up. And she couldn't figure out how to do it, so she said let me go up front and I'll take care of it, and she left Automotive. I waited and waited now going on 45 mins. while I had Frozen food and other things spoiling in my hot Truck. I told Lisa I was heading up front to see what the issue was, This isn't Rocket Science after all! As I'm approaching Customer service, I see Ms. Isra, walking towards the other end of the store and as I caught up to her as she had actually left the building, she proclaimed that it was being handled at Customer Service. So, I went to Customer Service and discovered she just handed off her Responsibility to another Associate who had no Idea what to do...Now another few moments pass and Ms. Isra returns from the outside and it still took another 20min. to finally Refund my Cash back to me, while they were still trying to figure out the computer! So now I had waited well over an Hour, ended up with $60. 00 of spoiled food and Time I'll never get back!!! To top it off, Ms. Isra never even extended an Apology for my Inconvenience, in fact once she entered the office she never came back out… Truthfully, if Walmart cannot do a better at training the people who is supposed to be Coaching others at how to perform better service to their Customers, then their Company and its Reputation is certainly heading in the wrong Direction! ~ Lance F.
