I don't know why but several times l have tried to book directly with amtrak they say there aren't any trains available on the date requested. Then l check with Wanderu and they are available. Each time l travel there are a lot of empty seats 🤷♂️ it does cost a few more bucks but it's worth it to take the anxiety away. That being said, l do sense some sort of trickery taking place as well.
