Purchased a Rolex Daytona 16520 advertised as a 1994 model. Upon receipt the warranty paperwork indicated 2000 — a six year discrepancy. When I took the watch to an authorized Rolex boutique they refused to service it, informed me the reference number had been physically altered, and threatened to confiscate the timepiece. Watchfinder's response was that the watch passed a registry check — which is not the same thing as a physical inspection and does not address Rolex's findings. I contacted my sales representative Daylan Hoekstra repeatedly from October 2025 through January 2026 without a single response. I was then handed to an after care representative who subsequently became unavailable with no transition plan, leaving me starting over with a third representative. I have been pursuing resolution for five months on a watch I cannot service through the manufacturer. Buyer beware — verify everything independently before purchasing from Watchfinder.
