DO NOT get in these taxi’s from the airport, it is an absolute scam! $66 for a 20 minute journey! They charge triple what Uber charge and they lie about it. We wanted to support local business so when we got out the airport we went over to the taxi rank outside and asked the driver how much to our hotel, he said he couldn’t say which now we know means he is not allowed to say an estimated price as then no one would go with them because it’s ludicrous. The meter goes up by 10 cents every second which you are not told until after you get in. There are hidden fee’s which you are not told about, there is an airport fee apparently, a card transaction fee and an after 10pm meter speed fee, absolute scam! The driver was rude and completely standoffish about the insane price and very cagey about everything we questioned. If I could give 0 stars I would, companies like this are why people are too scared to support local taxi’s over online giants such as Uber. Absolute scam, AVOID!!!
