The New learner policy setup is misleading as it doesn't EXPLICITLY STATE that the new learner policy MUST be on a vehicle that is NOT OWNED by the learner driver policy holder. If your thinking of taken out learner insurance for your Son or Daughter, and its for their own vehicle (perhaps they have already purchased their vehicle in preparation for passing their driving test & they are the registered V5 owner) then don't pick Marmalade as their policy isn't valid and you will incur a administrative deduction fee when they tell you the policy is cancelled. Its also important to note that you will also need your own (parent) car insurance policy on their vehicle too.. In my opinion you are better off searching for a different insurer whose learner driver policy is valid for the vehicle you darling son / daughter owns..I am sure Marmalade think this is obvious to folk when filling in their insurance quotation form however they simply mask this by not providing an option for you to nominate the person requesting the quote under the section as to who owns the vehicle.
