AVOID - Beware of greenwashing!

Pepper makes unlawful use of the OEKO-TEX name as according to OEKO-TEX themselves, advertising and labelling articles for only OEKO-TEX certified components is not allowed. Upon direct request, Pepper refused to produce the label or certificate number. This practice is called GREENWASHING.Therefore, BEWARE - there is no assurance that their products are indeed safe or free of harmful substances. Shame on this company. Update: The use of the OEKO-TEX certification does not work that way. It's extremely conniving to think a CLAIM to work with a factory where you cannot even prove your products were made somehow entitles you to use the OEKO-TEX brand. I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you're not purposely playing dumb and ask that you go learn about it yourself: oeko-tex dot com > Our Standards > Labelling Guide. According to the OEKO-TEX brand's policy, the claim and label can only be used on product and marketing materials that promote the EXACT certified product. All your products specifically state "Made sustainably in Colombia. OEKO-TEX® certified." - but this needs to be accompanied by the specific product certificate number for the label. How many ways must I rephrase this? Plus, there are 7 different specific brand labels - so which is it? Even if you're trying to claim a factory you use has a OEKO-TEX STeP certification: "only facilities that are actually certified can be associated with the OEKO-TEX® STeP label and advertised as such. This means that a STeP label may only be displayed in brochures, catalogues or other media in connection with the production facility whose certificate number it bears. The company-related label shall never be used on products and on product marketing." You're on the product side of things, huns.
