I was gifted a pair of Dublin long boots by a beloved one before they passed away. I loved my gift. After a while spent breaking them in, the blisters stopped appearing and they were comfortable to wear. However, I am extremely disappointed with the quality of these boots. The metal rivets on the boots began to bend, and one snapped in half without my knowledge. This broken rivet badly scratched my Mal Byrne Turnout saddle and damaged the entry sill of my car, which is only 12 months old. This experience has left me deflated, as I’ve worked so hard over the years to afford and care for my car and saddle. When I politely reached out to Dublin (Weatherbeeta) for support via email, I received a dismissive response on 28 August 2024. I was told that the 1 year warranty period had expired and that I should contact the store where the boots were purchased. I was hoping for a gesture of goodwill from a company like Weatherbeeta that publishes how proudly family owned they are, but it seems they do not stand behind their products.Unsurprisingly you cannot find the boots online as current stock anymore. Cant help but assume that is because the design is flawed and poorly constructed with cheap below standard materials. I can’t help but wonder how many other people have been devastated by a similar experience.I do not recommend purchasing from Dublin/Weatherbeeta if you are looking for quality gear that lasts or decent customer support when issues arise.
