Warning bells that I ignored.

Warning bells that I ignored.1- I was not quoted a price for WFG services until I had gone thru their “qualification” process and had been passed from my initial contact to another “specialist” then to the resolution “guru” who was to be my primary contact. When I made a verbal commitment to use WFG, I was quoted a price of $6,900 (which just happens to be my original purchase price for the timeshare property).2- I completed paperwork requested by WFG and forwarded to them. Some two weeks later, I received a draft letter and was asked to review it which I did and corrected two basic grammar mistakes. Basically they had taken what I provided to them and edited it into letter format. At this time I was told that it would be in my best interest if I did not reveal to the timeshare company that I was utilizing the service of WFG. (Bell # 2!) I mailed the letter to the timeshare company.3- Some 2 - 3 weeks later, WFG said an additional letter would be prepared to send asking the timeshare company for status. This was completed and mailed. One day after it was mailed, I received a letter from the timeshare company stating that they would cancel my contract if I would send them $1,500 for a processing fee. Obviously the timeshare company response and the second letter drafted by WFG had crossed in the mail.4- Naïve me then assumed that WFG would pay the fee and all would be over. Then I am contacted by WFG and asked if I wanted to settle or continue to pursue the matter. (Bell #3)5- End result, I paid WFG $6,900 to take my own words, rearrange them into readable sentences, create 2 draft letters, and then tell me that I should be happy that my contract obligation is over and they (WFG) will not be paying the $1,500 fee.6- Legally, I am sure WFG would be considered to have satisfied the terms of their contract. I believe that WFG is a worse schemer and scammer than the timeshare owners that they describe as perpetrators of “insanity”.
