I am deeply shocked and heartbroken by the failure of West Midlands Police. My aunt called 999 twice in September 2008, urgently asking for help, she was entitled to a police response within 30 minutes based on the information she provided and it failed to happen. No officers were sent to her. Despite her clear need for protection, the calls were ignored, and she was later found murdered.This is not just a mistake – it is a devastating failure of duty. Emergency services are meant to protect and respond, yet in this case, the system completely failed. Families deserve justice and accountability when lives are lost due to such negligence. I hope this review raises awareness of the urgent need for reform and responsibility within West Midlands Police.
