With high hopes for a transformed smile, I embarked on a dental journey that culminated in a devastating ordeal. An initial consultation in London painted a promising picture, leading me to seek treatment at a Turkish clinic. However, upon arrival, the veneer of professionalism quickly eroded. The initial treatment plan was abruptly altered, and the cost escalated dramatically.To my horror, the dental implants, which were the cornerstone of the treatment, failed catastrophically. Four out of six implants were rendered useless, forcing the clinic to hastily devise an alternative plan. The resulting prosthesis was a rushed, ill-fitting monstrosity that has irreparably damaged my self-confidence. My teeth, once a source of pride, are now a constant source of shame and embarrassment. I have been cruelly nicknamed "chicken teeth," a moniker that serves as a daily reminder of the clinic's negligence.Beyond the physical disfigurement, the emotional toll has been immense. The pain and discomfort I endured during the procedures were exacerbated by the anxiety and stress caused by the clinic's unprofessionalism. Overcrowded waiting rooms, indifferent staff, and a relentless push for additional, unnecessary treatments created a hostile environment. The demand for a significant upfront payment, a substantial portion of the overall cost, placed an undue financial burden on me.This harrowing experience stands in stark contrast to the positive outcome of a friend who underwent similar treatment at a different Turkish clinic. Their journey was marked by professionalism, care, and a successful result. My own ordeal serves as a cautionary tale for anyone considering dental tourism.
