The rubbish is meant to be collected on Friday mornings in our street and very regularly my bin is not emptied on that day. I have contacted the relevant section at the Council multiple times and this has not improved things. In addition it took me about 18 months to get hold of the small Council-provided food recycle bin, with whoever I spoke with on the phone always saying they were going to deliver it for it to not materialise, although they did finally produce it. The people one speaks to on the phone, or communicates with by email, are consistently nice but seemingly they or the system are utterly ineffective. They should refund part of the council tax if they are unable to offer a basic rubbish collection service or provide a place within walking distance to drop off the rubbish oneself.
