Over lockdown I had been toying with the idea of getting a gravel bike. As a BMX rider I wanted something simple which could get me a little further and not worry about the route I’d have to take to get there. Having never rode a gravel bike I was eager to try some out and do my research before taking the plunge. Quite quickly I stumbled upon Wheelhouse Bikes on social media. Here I saw Derek’s selection of Fairdale bikes for sale (Fairdale was the brand that got me interested in the first place ). After a quick message exchange Derek suggested I head over to the pop up shop the next day to check out the range and have a chat. On the day I picked out the one for me and a week later I visited the Wheelhouse to sort it all out. Derek was an absolute gent! He sized the bike for me, recommended a helmet and styled the bike how I wanted. He kindly let me go for a test ride talking me through everything to be sure I was happy. There was no pressure what so ever and I could tell he was genuinely interested. It was great chatting to him and hearing his stories on the ramp! Top notch service by him and Meriel. My wife has certainly got her sights set on a new bike so we will be coming back! Can’t recommend Wheelhouse Bikes enough, thanks guys! Stay Rad!
