Do not use this method of selling your whisky unless it is something unusual and rare, everyday bottles generate less than 50% of their retail value after deductions. I sold about £900 worth of bottles at retail price, most everyday single malts, and a few slightly more unusual, and only received just over £400 after deductions. One particular bottle selling on Ebay now for £150 sold for I think £32 before deductions, so net about £20!
