The winter wilderness survival course was a physical, mental, educational, emotional and in many ways a spiritual journey where I learnt winter-craft and also how to work in a team.We pushed our limits but never felt unsafe or in danger and learnt how to work and survive as a team in -25°c temperatures, and we learnt how embrace what the nature has to offer us, from the extreme cold, to the solutions and resources that are available to keep us warm (including building various shelters, open fires from available material, sleeping in cold etc.).Not having the phone/watch was also a unique experience as I felt more present to what is happening around me and enjoy the unadulterated presence of others around me.Witnessing leadership from Manuel, Marie and Leon was inspiring and they provided us the right training and guidance and ensure we never felt unsafe. The team/guides are also very environmentally conscious and dedicatedly adhere to sustainable travel, enjoyment and 'Leave No Trace' principles.Needless to say the nature was spectacular. It was one of the best holiday experience for me and I highly recommend it to anyone who is fit enough to participate.

Wilderness Vision offers immersive wilderness experiences that help individuals and teams reconnect with nature, themselves, and each other. Through skill courses, vision quests, retreats, and leadership trails, we create spaces to awaken your senses, explore your limits, and connect more deeply with life.
While we teach essential skills for comfortable and respectful outdoor living, we find that the simplicity of wilderness often brings us in touch with bigger life questions.
What is it that truly matters in life?
Our offerings aim to strengthen the bond between humans and the more-than-human world, enhancing our understanding of interdependence and nurturing our care and love for the Earth.
Winter/ Summer Wilderness Courses
In our wilderness courses, participants learn various skills to engage with wild nature. Activities include fire-making, navigation, shelter-building, foraging, and fishing.
In winter we will discover the beautiful white landscapes on wooden skies. In summer we will be hiking/ canoeing.
Rather than having to climb the highest mountain top, we try to slow down, moving at the border of the tree line, using fire for cooking, finding fresh water in the streams and foraging for food.
We try to open our senses to our surroundings, connecting with the land.
Vision Quests and Wilderness Solo Retreats
A Vision Quest is a powerful journey of self-discovery and reflection. Since earliest times, people from all cultures have spent time alone in the wild to seek clarity, insight, and a deeper connection to their true purpose. A vision quest offers you the space and guidance to explore personal challenges, dreams, and growth while being immersed in nature and drawing inspiration from it.
You will be thoroughly prepared for a 96h solo time in nature. After this powerful time in solitude we will support the integration and understanding of it.
Additionally, our wilderness solo retreats provide customized solo times, typically lasting 24 to 36 hours.
Leadership Trails and Team Development
For organizations and companies, we offer leadership trails and team development programs in nature. These programs are designed to enhance leadership skills, foster teamwork, and deepen connections with the natural world. Participants engage in activities that challenge them physically and mentally, promoting personal growth and collective cohesion. Our approach integrates experiential learning with the wisdom of nature, guiding individuals and teams toward greater self-awareness and effective collaboration.See more
