Our area was served by a waste management company for around 20 years, providing two bins: one for regular trash and another for recycling. I don't recall if there was a fee for the bins. In 2010, the Township switched to a different service, which continued using the bins supplied years ago. Now, after many years, our trash bin has cracked, and when we requested a replacement, they left a new bin but didn't take the old one labeled with the previous company's name. Upon calling, I was informed that they could collect it for a fee, but I was advised to contact the original provider since the bin supposedly belonged to them. I attempted to reach out to them, but after being on hold for an hour, I hung up. The absurdity is that the current service used the old bin for years but refuses to collect it because it has the original company's name on it. From my viewpoint, it should be treated as my trash and taken away.
