Had Wollit for over 5 months and nothing at all offered to me other than credit brokers with more fees to pay ect, biggest scam I’ve ever seen, they pray on low income and people with poor credit references, I’ve cancelled my subscription and they have all of a sudden started to send me email after email, although before I’ve had nothing from them. It’s a national scandal and needs stopping, these companies are getting rich from poor people like you.
Some of the 1 star reviews don't understand it buildshistory (not score) lenders look at the credit history when deciding, I'm 5 months in and I'm not disappointed I don't see score improvement Which I'm not bothered about, but I do see good timely payments which I number 1 thanks wollit! My credit cards have been increased and you're part of the help for that ☺️
⸻Review Title: Avoid – Still Taking My Money, No ResultsI have been paying Wollit £9 a month for the last 18 months and have absolutely nothing to show for it. They promised to help improve my credit score, but despite the money coming out of my account every single month, there has been no improvement whatsoever to my credit file. What makes it worse is that they just keep taking the money. I have tried to cancel, but no one gets back to me. It feels like they are happy to keep collecting payments while providing nothing in return. This service has been a complete waste of time and money. I am angry, frustrated, and want this cancelled immediately – but it seems impossible to get a response. Very, very disappointing. I would strongly advise others to avoid Wollit.
Disappointed by Lack of Flexibility During Financial HardshipI joined Wollit in June 2023 to build my credit and made 23 on-time payments, which helped my score. However, in August 2025, I missed one payment due to severe cost-of-living pressures (rising bills and reduced income), forcing me to cancel direct debits to cover essentials. Wollit reported this to Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion, impacting my credit file.I contacted support to explain my situation and request a goodwill removal, given my strong payment history and the one-off nature of the miss. Their response on September 18, 2025 was polite but unhelpful, stating they couldn’t remove the mark or allow payment as the account was closed. This felt inflexible, especially for a service meant to support credit-building during tough times. The mark could affect my [e.g., mortgage application] for up to 6 years. While Wollit’s app and reporting were useful, I’m disappointed they didn’t consider my circumstances. A goodwill gesture or hardship policy could’ve made a difference. I hope they adopt more customer-focused practices for others in similar situations.Nico K
The service is easy to use and sign up, however after being with them for over a year my credit score dropped by over 100 points. I did not have a poor score before joing them just wanted to improve it. During the same period cleared off 3 credit cards which you would have thought along with this service would increase the my credit score not make it worse.
Absolutely brilliant. I’d recommend anyone wishing to improve their credit score to sign up with Wollit. My credit has risen as a result of my regular payments and what’s the best feature is that my rent is now included as part of a healthier credit score.
