We booked an AirBnB in Lake Garda with Wonderful Italy and had issues with the 3rd bedroom. The mattress was so thin and lumpy I didn’t sleep and it caused me severe back pain. We contacted Wonderful Italy to ask if they could replace the mattress with one similar to those in the other two bedrooms, which were much thicker. Having had to chase this request they came back saying they couldn’t help. I’m sure as a large company hosting many properties they could have tried to help; this is why we booked an AirBnB with a company rather than an individual.As a result, the 3rd bedroom (which was down in the basement and was also dark, smelt of damp, was poorly furnished, the curtains didn’t fit and had no Wi-Fi) was unusable and one of our guests offered to sleep on the sofa so we could have their mattress. Not ideal for a family holiday and our wedding anniversary. In the end we left early to go to another AirBnB.I contacted Wonderful Italy upon my return to request a refund for the 3rd bedroom, as it was unusable. They’ve not even bothered to respond. Given this, and the other terrible reviews, I’d avoid them at all costs.
