We did not have a very pleasant experience. Although the technician was ahead of schedule and arrived 15 minutes prior to our meeting. The technician arrived with a young child which could have lead to liability issues if he were to get hurt and we were never told he was going to bring a child to our home unsupervised while he worked on the tv. Upon arrival we were given a different price due to the surface he was installing the tv on and also informed that someone at the home would need to help lift the tv which was not previously discussed. There was an “add on feature on his site but since we were just requesting a tv to be mounted and nothing more, there were no “add ons” needed and since it was not a required field we did not see the extra cost for the surface material. We provided pictures and a detailed description prior to arrival and none of this was mentioned until he arrived the day of even though we exchanged texts the day prior. After looking at the tv mount we purchased which is meant for up to a 90” tv and were recommended this by a friend who used this exact mount for his 82” tv, we were told that it would not work due to the included screws not being long enough. The technician tried to find parts to piece together but was unable to find anything that would work. He did offer to go to Walmart to buy another mount and we could reimburse him but since we did not know what that cost would be or the type of mount he would get we declined. After determining he would not be able to mount the tv with the provided mount and we were not open to buying another mount at this time, he asked for $10 for gas. We obliged and provided it to him and he left. We believe this could have been a better experience if he asked questions prior to coming, given the fact that we did provide him a detailed description and a picture of the location where it would be mounted. Also bringing a child to “work” without previously disclosing that would be the case was also an issue for us. For reference the approximate description was: “We are needing a 82” TV mounted on top of our fireplace. Getting a few quotes. We have the tv and mount sitting around waiting to be installed. Looking to lock something in and possibly get it done this week.It already has an outlet. I do not need anything special done.”The image showed the fireplace that had stone where the tv needed to be mounted.
