I received a promotional code sent directly to my email advertising an offer with free items, which influenced the decision for my partner to order . The code was accepted at checkout and the order confirmed, but the promotion was later not honoured.In response to the company’s reply, I want to clarify that I am one individual and my partner is another. We are separate people, yet the company appears to treat us as a single customer, which was never clearly stated at the point of purchase.If eligibility criteria apply, they should be very clear in the offer - which they were not to me - and be enforced before payment is taken, not retrospectively. The response does not explain why the promotion was issued and accepted at the point of purchase if it was not valid.
