This is enough to not trust this company to begin with. Always read the bad reviews to get a clear picture because they are the authentic ones. This company charged my disabled brother who is on a pension AUD 4000 next for doing next to nothing. They are highly unethical - if they bothered to read his book they would have been able to tell he has schizophrenia and from talking to him on the phone they would have understood that he has cognitive deficits. And yet they persuaded him to give a digital signature when he did not understand what he was signing up for and thought he was paying AUD 400. Google the price of getting an ISBN number and you will see that they are as cheap as chips and do not warrant this company charging AUD 1209 to get one.They charged AUD 899 for obtaining copyright. Copyright in Australia is automatic as soon as you print something out - there is actually no need for this company to get it for you, let alone charge a huge amount for it. The publishing 'bundle' for AUD 540 doesn't even include the author getting a copy of the book. You have to order a minimum of 50 books in order to see a hard copy version of your book. I have yet to find out what this would cost.I have been trying to contact them for a refund and had one conversation which detailed what had been charged (see above) and I am now in conversation with his bank to get a refund from this highly unethical company. The contact person and supposedly in Sydney hung up on me with a nervous laugh when I asked her for her address where she is right now. My guess from her Asian accent and from all the noise in the background is that she is based in their 'office' (more like call centre) in the Philippines. I'm not sure about this but yesterday they said they were in Sydney and today they said they were in Texas.The company has changed its name quite a lot in the last few years from ' American book experts' (you can see reviews and comments of this company on Reddit), 'Publish my book' (the AI summary of this company warns of scamming activity and does not recommend them and recommends looking at reviews on various platforms). Why do companies change their name so much? The reviews of ' American book experts' again, only go back to 2025 with a single review in July 2024 - that company obviously didn't have much success. The lady I was speaking with was trying to confuse me with conversions from USD to AUD - I assume that many people get confused by this, but I don't because anyone who has access to a conversion app can quickly calculate the difference. I can imagine she confused my brother with this as well. The 'package' Which comes to 4000 AUD to in total doesn't even include marketing or editing - so as it is written is as it appears on Amazon, grammar and spelling mistakes and all. It most likely will be sold for a ridiculous amount on Amazon so none of them would sell anyway. Yet another scammy vanity publishing company but this one is worse than most.Don't go near them.
