Range Rover Sport, 3 Litre Diesel, 2015 Model - Auto-biography - 28,000 MilesEngine failed without warning doing 50mph through the road works of the M27 justy before christmas.No lights came up on the dash, everything immediately locked up, wheels wouldn’t turn, and engine wouldn’t re start. Oil everywhere on the road & in the engine compartment.Apparently the oil pump failed, this is well documented on the web but Range Rover wouldn’t accept any liability as the warranty had run out. They quoted me £8K + VAT for a new engine & £10K + VAT to fit it. Also, any other ancillary equipment if required would be at an extra cost.I contacted Ali from 4x4 Engine Rebuilds. He wasn’t the cheapest but he seemed the most genuine on the phone and really his reviews helped me choose his services.I am so glad I did. He took the engine out, stripped it down & rebuilt it with new internal parts. He also had to replace all the fuel injectors, the oil cooler & both primary & secondary turbos.Ali kept me informed with photos & progress reports throughout the entire process. It’s been 7 months now and have had no problems whatsoever. Running better than it ever has.His final price turned out to be about a third of the price quoted from the dealership & that’s with the extra parts included.I would highly recommend these guys. They are very knowledgeable and leading experts in their field. Just brilliant.
