Extremely disappointed with the service of Dewa. We were notified that we had a 10k aed bill for the month of August. It turns out that there was a leak under the house in the water tank, we received NO high-water usage alert and had no reason to check under the house.On approaching DEWA, they said that they only send these alerts when the usage is higher for the past 48 hrs than the average of the last 3 months. Given this was 800% higher than our previous consumption, there was clearly an issue with their notification system. Despite pushing back to DEWA, they said they had no obligation to send these notifiations and that we had to pay the entire bill. Very disappointed in their customer service, no one would help us on a call or even offer any service to support us in resolving this. Our only contact was through email, which appeared to be copy and pasted responses from a customer manual.Given the circumstances and the fact they didn't notify us, we would've expected even a slight reduction in the bill for general customer service and keeping the relationship!
