I had hoped to provide a surprise gift to the U.S. and was reluctant to provide a contact in case the recipient would be alerted to the delivery. I was informed that the person would only be contacted if the mailing address needed to be verified, but later found out that they were contacted to find out if they would be home to receive the delivery. Surprise destroyed! I was also told I would be kept informed about the delivery date, but because it was delivered on Saturday, I was told by the recipient that it had arrived and was not informed by the company at all.
The delivery was made promptly and the gift was exactly as promised but communication could have been better.
