Correct me if I’m wrong. In most cases “may I have extra salt and vinegar please” means I would like it not none at all. The above wouldn’t be so bad but when you are paying for the smallest pot of curry sauce, a teaspoon of “home made” tartar sauce and ends only chips it just adds insult to injury.
