When I first joined Kingdom Builders Academy (KBA), I thought I was just signing up to learn how to write a book and start a business the right way. What I did not know was that I was stepping into something so much greater, a life-changing journey filled with wisdom, tools, faith, and divine direction.From the start, I loved that KBA is a Christ-centered organization. We pray before and after every session, and everything we do is anchored in God's Word. Through this program, I gained clarity about my purpose, how to serve the Lord, help others, and understand that it is not only okay but right to be compensated for the value I bring.At first, my dream was simple. I wanted to write a book and become a speaker. But as I continued the classes week after week, God began to expand my vision. I discovered that I could build a high-impact coaching business, offering valuable programs to help others overcome fear, anxiety, and self-doubt, both on camera and in person.KBA guided me step by step. The coaches held my hand, encouraged me when I felt unsure, and reminded me that I am never too old to start something new when God says, “Go.”And wow, have I learned. From running my business on Kajabi, creating logos, banners, and flyers in Canva, to mastering copywriting and marketing, these are skills I never thought I would have. As someone who has overcome mild dyslexia, writing used to be a real challenge. But through prayer, persistence, and the incredible KBA community, I have grown more than I ever imagined.What began as a dream to write a book has transformed into a flourishing purpose-driven work and ministry. KBA has shown me that earning income for my gifts is not selfish. It is preparation for the greater work God has called me to do. For years, I gave everything away freely. Now I understand that receiving is part of God’s plan too, because He has a bigger mission ahead.Today, I coach others on mastering their on-camera presence and confidence, covering nineteen essential topics that include lighting, framing, projection, hair, and wardrobe through my "Lights, Camera, Action! Program. I absolutely love what I do and the transformation I see in others.And on top of all that, I have met some incredible brothers and sisters whom I now call friends. The love and support within this community have been such a blessing.The bonus through all of this is the double degree program. I was a teen runaway and never went to college. This year, I earned my Associate of Arts degree and am now working toward my Bachelor’s in Ministry. How great is that? Never in a million years did I ever think I would earn a degree at 65 years old. Hallelujah.
