I'm writing this review from a different perspective. I was a part of their sales training bootcamp. Although there were some good materials in training modules, the way the staff member, namely Amanda Crocker, conducted herself was utterly unprofessional, contrary to the way the founder presented herself in many of her marketing materials or even on the initial "group interview" calls. And yes, this was supposed to be a part of the "interview" process for the representatives which she never told us. Lack of clarity from her was glaring. She would tell you you "passed" the interview but she would never say the training was also a part of the interview process. Based on having seen the inner workings of the organization briefly, I cannot in good conscience recommend this program. If you see their marketing or even training materials, they make themselves appear as very aspiring, caring and positive self improvement programs. But the reality is, during the "training", they do not give anyone any constructive criticism they promised whatsoever and they just simply make up HR corporate excuses to cut people off with no valid explanations. In sum, if you cannot fit into Amanda's deceptive ways, you are done. I don't even think that Ms.Golan knows everything that goes on exactly. It is understandable though given that this is a less than 5 year old startup and things do fall through cracks. To be transparent, the "bootcamp" consisted of 4 one hour sessions over the course of 4 days and I've had professional conflicts on 2 out of 4 days. I was very upfront about it and I even asked for different days. Amanda was not accomodating and didn't give me any other options but to press through, basically saying not to worry during the training and she said she would "work things out". Why the hell did she "accept" me if they had no intention of letting me finish in the first place? I spoke with my fellow candidates when this happened and all of them agreed that there was nothing wrong with my presentation which means I was not behind on progress. So definitely there was a real reason that they are not telling me.The bottomline - they get off on setting people up for failure and have no interest in nurturing talent. If this is the way the company conducts itself then how could they expect people to believe what they are saying in those presentation materials? And this program is definitely not cheap. I almost want to say how much but I'm sure that would violate the NDA I signed so I won't. But definitely high enough to question their true motives.Clearly there are some successful examples. (Although on Google reviews, abovementioned Amanda wrote one and obviously she works there so THAT was wrong) For those reasons, I would proceed with caution and if you feel something is off, I would run. And don't sign up on the first call if you choose to get on their "free" call no matter what they would tell you. If the program is as good as what they say it is for whoever they're targeting, it shouldn't matter if they sign up after 1 call or the next. (Or even beyond) They even said they don't want a hard closer but trust me, they do. I've written many reviews. I have also been a Yelp Elite for the past 4 years. I take the responsibility seriously. You don't become a Yelp Elite by writing some random negative reviews just for the heck of it. And I'm certainly not the type who usually writes this kind of review to the company who didn't hire me for any position. If the company had behaved responsibly, giving fair shot to everyone especially if they're requiring applicants to participate beyond the normal first, second (or sometimes 3rd) ONE ON ONE interviews and not misleading applicants like they did with me, I wouldn't be writing this review. I'm writing this because I strongly believe that the way they handle people, employee or applicants is a reflection of what the company is really like. If they mislead employees or potential employees with deception, they would have no problem deceiving their customers. My father used to say don't pay attention to what they say, pay attention to what they do. And I'm telling you what they do from my first hand experience so that you can go in with your eyes open. So that is my advice.
