I placed an order for what they said is in stock on their website. A very rude and aggressive man called to tell me I was wasting their time and berated me for not wanting to switch from the white countertop that I ordered on their site -- because it is listed as in stock -- to a light gray or dark gray countertop. They have been in business for blah blah blah years and he said that I "knew exactly what I was doing", as if I deceptively placed this order. He basically yelled "we're helping you, you just don't get it". He said I am a "designer" and I knew I was wasting their time too. I'm a graphic designer, not an interior designer. I'm a homeowner who is re-doing a bathroom with original fixtures and tile from the 1960s. I don't know anything about bathroom vanities. I had no idea the vanity I wanted was an "odd-ball size" and that I was "making sure I would not be a customer for ANYBODY because of my unwillingness to be flexible". I would have happily shopped on List Vanities site for a different vanity had the man who called me not been so hostile. He said "no you wouldn't" when I told him this. Uhhhhh, yes, I would have shopped for a different vanity on your site!! It is sad that someone lives their life with such hostility and anger. I feel bad for him. I hope this was an off-day and he otherwise has a happy life. Maybe tomorrow he will wake up and choose to spread kindness to the world around him. To have made so many assumptions about me before we even connected, I just don't get it. The word designer can be applied to professions other than interior design. Clearly, the interior designers they deal with are gigantic a-holes as that would explain his hostility toward me. Shame on those people for being shady and difficult, making this man's professional life miserable. Also, it is not legal to sell an item on a website that is known to be completely out of stock. He admitted that the sink color I ordered is out of stock, has been out of stock, and is in no way showing up probably ever again. Why is this item available to purchase on their website then? It would take mere minutes to deactivate the sink option that I ordered so none of this wouldn't have happened. Don't put yourselves out on the web selling products you know are out of stock. Don't also call and yell at the customer who is not an interior designer and is very much an amateur homeowner redoing a bathroom for the first time for falling prey to their tactics. This practice is a violation of consumer protection laws, specifically false advertising and deceptive trade practices. I would much rather share a positive experience and praise a company for doing a great job. Based on other reviews, they seem to be really good at what they do.
