My granddaughter went to sublime auto. her salesman was Sam. she purchased a 2014 Ford Kia. I asked her to have the car looked at by my mechanic but this dealership said there was no need to because their mechanic already looked at it and it had no problems. Within 3 weeks the head gasket blew. i called the company and they said this has never happened before and they will help but only if my granddaughter Jennifer would make that first payment. she took the car to the kia dealership found out it was irreparable and that the engine was recalled. We found out the reason they were pushing to make a payment even though the car was not drivable was an effort to put the problem on the finance company. This way they didn't have to pony up for the "mistake" they just made. The finance company, Lobel financial, was just as shady. My granddaughter took it to the Kia dealership and found out there was no hope for the car at all!!! This model had a recall on the whole engine!! In the meantime, the finance company acted like they understood the problem and would help her. They repossessed the car (she could not pay for a car sitting in her parking lot. By this time we had tried numerous times to get Sublime auto to honor their agreement but they kept making excuses until the 30 day warranty was gone). we tried dealing with the Lobel finance company. They repossessed the car. they said they understood the problem and would help. Once Lobel repossessed the car they said in order to help her she had to pay$ 3,000 in repo fees. So now we have a car that wont work, had never worked properly after 3 weeks, a dealership that is shady, and a financial institution all trying to get my granddaughter to pay for the car she drove less than 3 weeks. Well she cannot and this little "sting" operation has sent her to collections. Her credit is being ruined. It was definitely a "bait and switch". This experience is also my own genuine experience because i talked to the car dealership and tried to get them to honor their agreement for my granddaughter. The dealership kept pushing the agenda of her getting help AFTER she made the first payment (and was officially someone else problem). And yes, my granddaughter ask for my help and i have also helped her financially when she was saving to buy this lemon of a car. We want Lobel to drop all charges and clear her credit. the offer is that they will help her get another car after she pays all the repossession fees. we don't want another car from Sublime or Lobel Finance. we want them to drop all fees and clear her credit.
