We have used the Oyster GPS from Lonestar Tracking on all three of our Great Pyrenees for over a year. We learned about Lonestar from the TX A&M livestock guardian dog program. The customer service has been excellent and rapid any time we had a question. The tracking has been accurate. We are 5 miles down a dirt road so pretty remote. Our ATT cell phone service is pretty good here. The GPS units themselves are very tough and withstand heavy play and all outdoor conditions. We have them attached to the collars with a thin coated metal cord secured with a U bolt. We tried a different company, WhistIe, that provided dog specific GPS units. Those units were quickly damaged and gave erroneous alerts multiple times a day (and night). Got a full refund from that company.
