What can we say that hasn’t probably already been said about Marc? He came into the record as we were struggling to get it done. Marc took our record and brought it back to life. He was professional and courteous. He entertained some of our bad ideas and did all he could to make us happy. He truly made us feel like our music was just as important to him as it was to us. I’m a jazz vocalist who’s enjoyed a successful career as a recording, performing and touring musician here in Australia since 1998. I engaged Marc to mix my 9th album, The Bach Project, because it’s so different to any of my other releases that I needed new ears and imagination. Marc has worked magic in creating a lovely expansive feel without losing the intimacy of a chamber-jazz performance. His initiative on the spaced-out improv section in one track in particular, Bist Du Bei Mir, turned what I thought was the stuff of nightmares into exactly the dreamy, psychedelic romp I’d never imagined. Marc is incredibly fast, responsive and easy to work with. I loved working with him and I’m so excited for people to hear this record!!

He has worked with U2, Foo Fighters, Nick Cave, Lou Reed, Sting, Keith Richards, Kesha, Jeff Beck, Les Paul, Buddy Guy, Luther Vandross, Børns, The Black Crowes, Joss Stone, Mike Patton, John Zorn, Jack DeJohnette, Esperanza Spalding, John Patitucci, Laurie Anderson and scores of artists performing rock, pop, metal, jazz, experimental/avantgarde/new music, urban and electronica and classical.
Marc also composes music for film and television, creates sound design for commercials and mixes audio for film and television. He also recorded and mixed more than half a dozen movie soundtracks.
Marc was born in Switzerland and raised in Italy. His musical education began at age 12. At age 17 he opened his first commercial recording facility in Italy. Marc later moved to New York City, where he currently resides and works as Chief House Engineer for the historic & legendary recording studio EastSide Sound.See more
