I was looking to replace worktops in my kitchen with granite ones. I got a good quote from Mayfair and promised an 'all inclusive' service with old worktop removal etc. and a templating appointment in a week. Sounded good, but that's where all the positive points ended.Templating was postponed by nearly three weeks for different reasons. Once it actually happened, it took another two months (!) and a few chasing calls from my side instead of promised 10-15 days to get the actual installation appointment. They were really good with taking deposits and partial payments, for anything else - I had to chase them, call them, call again and so on. Altogether, it took them nearly three months to complete the job comparing to two-three weeks initially promised.The worst part of the experience, however, wasn't even that (given the circumstances with Covid etc.), but dealing with their subcontractor who was supposed to remove the existing worktops, replace and reconnect kitchen appliances. They did a reasonable job, but left a leaking sink pipe behind after replacing a sink. Unfortunately, I did not realise that until the next day and made a mistake of paying them before finding the issue. When contacting the subcontractor, I was faced with completely unprofessional and almost aggressive response: the guy just denied any responsibility, threatened me with extra call-out charges and, needless to say, never showed up to fix it. Absolutely appalling!For people to beware of that subcontractor, apparently they go by different names: Quality Furniture Installations, Yorkshire Gas Services, Kitchens of Yorkshire.
